Life isn’t fair. It isn’t easy; it doesn’t take your hand and tell you it’s
going to be okay. It isn’t kind or gentle; it does not sugarcoat nor beat around
the bush. But with all of life’s flaws, it is always, always true. It is blunt,
unwavering, genuine. It will never tell you a lie. It may give you days that
make you fall to your knees and cry, but it hands you smiles, too; moments in
time that fill you with so much joy that it hurts, so much happiness that it feels
impossible to ever be that happy again, so much elation that you can’t bring yourself to regret all the bad things that led you here, because that one moment
of pure and utter bliss is worth every tear. All that matters is trying to hold
onto that small glimpse of a perfect world for as long as you can, that brief
chance of forgetting everything wrong with life and only acknowledging the
beauty, that promise of joy. Never regret; it makes you loose sight of those
moments. Never let them fade away, because without them, you’ll only
remember the pain. Life doesn’t regret, nor does death. But it’s worth it, I
promise you. It is worth everything you are and everything you will ever be.
Take it from someone who knows.
